Senior Python Engineer (offline)

Competera uses Big Data and Deep Learning to change the way retailers do pricing. We are known for both cutting-edge math ‘under the hood’ and for deep expertise in the pricing domain. We are now looking for a Senior Software Engineer to help us turn business ideas into best-in-class technology solutions that explicitly drive the product and the company towards their strategic direction.

The role is about development and maintenance of Competera Pricing Platform:

— Designing scalable and fault-tolerant cloud architecture
— New value streams creation through development of micro-services
— Improvement/optimizing of existing functionality

Our stack: Python, PostgreSQL, asyncio, Flask, FastAPI, aiohttp, gRPC, Apache Kafka, Kubernetes, ArgoCD, Grafana, Prometheus, Sentry, OpsGenie etc.

Starter-kit needed to join the board:

— Understanding of microservices architecture
— Python – 5+ years of experience
— PostgreSQL or relevant DBMS
— Experience in Web Services / API
— Experience in distributed task queues / message-brokers
— Unit/Integration/Functional/etc. testing
— Docker, Kubernetes

Pleasant extras: Experience in designing and implementing microservices architecture, Python async stack (asyncio, aiohttp, FastAPI), Kafka, gRPC.
