Middle Manual QA Engineer (offline) $1700-2200

A QA Analyst in VBT is a person who has a keen eye for details and a problem-solving mindset that is an important part of the QA know-how. Besides having a special sense for finding bugs, issues, and problems even before they occur, our QA Analyst has to be a critical thinker, which means that an inquisitive mind, as well as the desire to find the root of a problem, are of great importance. Since software testing is a dynamic job, our person has to be adaptable to quick changes and project requirements, which also means that time and task management are key. Being a fast learner is a big plus, having an open mind is a must.

Our main focus is building amazing web/mobile apps and platforms as well as VR experiences. Some of the incredible and challenging projects we’ve built that make a difference include:

▪ helping a client with digital transformation by building a telehealth platform enabling them to provide healthcare to thousands of users in the time of global health crisis
▪ a peer-to-peer platform connecting college students to the elderly, solving the problem of loneliness that plagues our elderly as well as some of life's simpler challenges, like taking out the trash, walking the dog, or having a pleasant conversation
▪ building a mobile app for the premier boat rental company in Florida, allowing users to effortlessly rent a boat from the palm of their hand
▪ helping the #1 health-tech company provide clarity in a global crisis by building a COVID-19 Map using complex data to help individuals make critical decisions for themselves, their families, and their employees
▪ building a first-ever real-time all-inclusive wellness application, providing everyone with an elegant and simple solution to living a healthier life

QA Analyst responsibilities as we see them:
▪ Thoroughly searching for and reporting any bugs, issues, and potential problems; also being able to anticipate where the highest chances for bugs could be and then concentrate effort and focus in those areas
▪ Analyzing and questioning presented solution, and being ready to test it to the core
▪ Clearly and coherently communicating, both in written and spoken form, in order to successfully communicate with developers, project managers, designers, etc.
▪ Being adaptable to new whereabouts - be it new project requirements, or changing timelines
▪ Always striving to learn something new, and to implement acquired knowledge into the QA process

What you will be doing as a QA Analyst:
▪ Creating detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases and then performing tests, i.e. executing test cases, testing user stories (we use mostly TestRail)
▪ Participating through an entire lifecycle of a bug - identifying, recording, and documenting issues thoroughly (we use JIRA and Notion)
▪ Estimating, prioritizing, planning, and coordinating testing activities
Investigating the causes of non-conforming software and proposing possible solutions
▪ Staying up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies
▪ Communicating with various teams

What we expect:
▪ 2-3 years of experience as a (manual) software tester (agency experience is a plus)
▪ you already had the chance to create test plans and test cases
you're capable of managing projects of low and medium complexity independently
▪ you are extremely detail-oriented and never satisfied with a solution that isn't (almost) perfect
▪ you know how to review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
▪ bonus points (but not necessary): if you already have some experience with API testing and test automation.

What we offer:
▪ Starting salary (Gross): $1,700 - $2,200
▪ Work and gain experience in an international team, as well as servicing foreign (US) clients
▪ Different clients from different industries, each providing its own specific challenge - no boredom, always different approach
▪ Flexible work hours and a hybrid work-from-home policy (even when there is no global pandemic)
▪ Fun and relaxed company culture where we care about teammates (Friday team lunches provided by the company, chill, and beer after work encouraged, medical checkups every two years, periodic team buildings, etc.)
▪ Office in the city center of Odesa
...and many more!
