It gives its users the tools to understand their rate of aging and shows them what actions people like them are taking to slow it down or even reverse it. About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Data Lead to join the talented team, to play an integral role in
understanding, analyzing and optimizing the user experience. This includes top of funnel customer
acquisition, middle of funnel user engagement and behavior change and bottom of funnel retention
data. You will be providing insights to the business based on how best to improve performance in key
product and marketing metrics, such as cost per installs and activation, referral mechanics, cohort
analysis, conversion to trial and subscription, engagement and active user metrics, retention and in
the development and refinement of models used by the company`s team.
You will work on large and complex data sets to understand the behavior of Company end users,
develop and analyze strategies for business growth and product development, and help design and
prototype analytical and reporting tools that will support growth.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Work closely with the marketing/growth and product teams to identify, design, and implement reports, dashboards, and analysis needed by the business
Review, refine and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), create event triggers and analyze web and app usage metrics, to better understand what’s working and provide recommendations to the business of what optimizations to prioritize
Analyze customer behavior on our app and transform raw data into insightful findings
Create insightful dashboards and visualizations using Amplitude, Mixpanel, Google Analytics,
Looker, and or other tools to help inform the team
Collaborate with founders, product lead, engineers, and growth lead to analyze product and marketing performance trends and analyze A/B testing results to improve app/web experience
Quantify, measure, and visualize the improvement/success of new marketing channels, campaigns, creatives, products, features, and business initiatives
Build data-driven solutions to improve processes and be a key contributor to build a data-centric organization and culture
Using data mining to extract information from data sets and identify correlations and patterns
Organizing and transforming information into comprehensible structures
Using data to predict trends in the customer base and the consumer population as a whole
Performing statistical analysis of data
Using tools and techniques to visualize data in easy-to-understand formats, such as diagrams and graphs
Preparing reports and presenting these to management or clients
Identifying and recommending new ways to save money by streamlining business processes
Monitoring data quality and removing corrupt data
Communicating with stakeholders to understand data content and business requirements
Requirements:
BA/BS in Computer Science, Math, Physics, Engineering, Statistics, Data modelling or other technical field or 3+ years equivalent technical work experience, and / or be qualified as a Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) or equivalent
2+ years of experience in data analytics, doing quantitative analysis, preferably with mobile applications, SaaS, or e-commerce industry
2+ years experience working collaboratively with product and or marketing/growth team
members such as: product management, engineering, design, data science, data engineering, marketing leads, growth leads etc.
2+ years experience manipulating data sets through statistical software (ex. R, SAS, Pivot Tables) or other methods
2+ years experience with product optimization work i.e., funnel/app/website optimization
and/or outbound communication channels like email or push notifications
1+ years experience with product optimization or growth best practices
1+ years experience in SQL and/or other programming languages is a plus
Experience in making analytical, data-driven decisions and communicating the results of analyzes
Experience in statistics (e.g., hypothesis testing, product experimentation, regressions,
experimentation logic and biases)
A solid understanding of data sources, data organization and storage (knowledge of relevant relational databases is a plus) and the ability to decipher and organize large amounts of data
Strong IT and mathematical skills
In-depth knowledge of statistical methodologies and data analysis techniques and the ability to produce informative, relevant and user-friendly reports
Experience in writing and running SQL queries would be an advantage
Advanced or at least working knowledge and experience of Amplitude (preferable) or
MixPanel
Experience with other platforms like Segment, Appsflyer, Looker, Tableau, or similar or
equivalent business intelligence software and mobile analytics tools, is a plus
Excellent analytical skills to effectively scrutinize data for inaccuracies
The ability to pay attention to detail when working with data in order to make accurate
conclusions and predictions
Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively share findings with
stakeholders, including technical and non-technical audiences
Be an independent self-starter who is comfortable taking on a high level of responsibility
Able to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment, learn rapidly and master new skills
Detail-oriented, data-driven and execution focused
Experience with Agile/Scrum framework would be an advantage
Proficient in Excel and data recording software
