DevOps Engineer (Rakuten project) (offline)

We are looking for a strong engineer who is experienced in technical support of high-availability and high-rate systems, likes to improve system reliability and efficiency, and enjoys helping our partners integrate with us. The engineer will be supporting Media Solutions RTB systems that are a major part of our portfolio at our company. This role reports to Manager, Engineering Media at our company.



Key responsibilities:

Serve as an important point of contact and support all client communications.
Act as the key point of escalation for set up related issues, and partner with internal and external teams to drive resolution in a timely manner.
Support integration and testing of Publishers and DSP partners.
Debug Desktop/Mobile/Video based ad integrations and advise internal engineering teams as well as coordinate with clients for ongoing mission-critical support.
Operate, Maintain and Develop a high-availability and high-rate production environment.
Assist with launching new and upgrading existing applications.
Use and improve monitoring tools to identify operational anomalies and take action to resolve them.;
Follow, create, and improve SOPs and documentation.
Work as a flexible, organized, thoughtful, and proactive team player.
Explore new technologies and solutions to enhance operational excellence and cost efficiencies.
Perform on call responsibilities as part of a team rotation.
Minimum requirements:

2+ years of operational experience on a programmatic or auction platform
Understanding of the programmatic ecosystem SSP (Supply Side Platform), DSP (Demand Side Platform), GAM (Google Ad Manager), and Ad Operations
Cloud Experience (Google Cloud Platform, Amazon Web Service, OpenStack)
Server Administration with Linux (Ubuntu, RedHat/Centos) Operating System
Scripting (Bash, Python)
Monitoring (Prometheus and Grafana preferred)
Networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, Load Balancing, Firewall Rules)
Team Player - A thoughtful, collaborative approach with end users, staff colleagues, and other IT professionals is essential.
Must be able to work on multiple in-flight projects.
Must have an aptitude and a desire for proactive support of research and innovation.
Must possess excellent communication and organizational skills as well the ability to work under minimal supervision in a flexible, team-oriented environment.
Qualification requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent experience
Broad knowledge of industry and trends in Media, Programmatic and eCommerce
Experience driving security and privacy best practices
Experience in a B2B2C business
