CI/CD DevOps Engineer (offline)

The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for provisioning, installation, configuration, operation and maintenance of the CI/CD systems for our enterprise customer within AWS. The person should have a passion for learning new technologies, be a strong supporter of best practices. The successful candidate will work with top engineers on challenging and exciting software projects.

Key Responsibilities & Duties Include:

Help build and implement the software & infrastructure CI/CD automation and security strategy for a large ecommerce site.
Understand and optimise the wider Configuration Management discipline • Automate the AMI build process
Automate the End to End AMI building/testing process
Help optimise infrastructure cost
Help align with the Development and DevOps team toolsets
Implement a pro-active monitoring solution
Work collaboratively with the Development, Test, Operations and Release team To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following:

Key Competencies/Skills Required

5+ years experience in Systems Engineering/DevOps role
Strong background in Linux/Unix Systems
Experience configuring and running CI platforms such as Jenkins, GitLab-CI
Experience with AWS services
Good understanding of networking concepts (VPC, Subnets, nACLs, security groups, ELB/ALB/NLBs, API GW, WAF)
Experience with setting-up highly secure infrastructures with no Single Point of Failure
Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible and SALT
Experience with building infrastructure automation - Terraform
Experience with enterprise monitoring and alarming tools
Experience working in Agile / Scrum teams
Strong analytical / troubleshooting skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Essential Criteria
