About the role

Backend Developer is responsible for developing web architecture, ensuring the responsiveness of applications, and working alongside UI/UX designers for web design features. Developer will be required to see out a project from conception to final product, requiring good organizational skills and attention to detail.

About functions

— Developing back-end business logic for web applications
— Ensuring cross-platform optimization for mobile phones
— Ensuring responsiveness of applications
— Working alongside graphic designers for web design features
— Seeing a project from conception to launch and beyond
— Designing and developing APIs and other third-party integrations
— Meeting both technical and consumer needs
— Staying abreast of the ever-changing technology landscape to identify the best tools and technologies for the problems we’re solving

About you

— 5+ years of experience in software development
— Proficient in Java
— Knowledge of object-oriented software design, development, and architectural principles
— Scrum/Agile development
— Outstanding organizational and time management skills
— Knowledge of professional software engineering and best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control
— Ability to work with a remote development team

Preferred:

— Experience working with an MVC framework, particularly Groovy/Grails and Mircronaut
— Front-end experience (VueJS)
— Familiarity with database languages, such as SQL, MySQL, and RDBMS
— Experience working in source controlled environment like GitHub
— Experience with RabbitMQ or Kafka
