Senior Front-end developer for NearMap (offline)

Required skills:

Strong skills in JavaScript (3+ years experience)
Deep understanding, and demonstrable experience, in relation to at least one object-oriented programming language.
Awareness of linear algebra for visualization/computer graphics
Demonstrated technical creativity and problem-solving ability.
Understanding of sound architectural and design practices – a deep understanding is required for the Senior / Principal roles.
Ability to write clean, elegant code
Interest in doing code reviews
Good design skills and understanding of what makes an elegant, clean design
Deep passion for software
Very good communication skills in English

As a plus:

Experience with 2D and/or 3D visualization would be highly regarded (but not necessary)
Awareness of mathematics relevant to computer graphics/visualization (trigonometry, linear algebra)
Experience with GIS/mapping applications
Experience with React would be highly regarded (but not necessary)

Responsibilities:

Design, implement and launch highly visible, user-facing features.
Design and develop large scale web applications.
Lead designs of major software components and systems.
Create innovative UI elements.
Drive adoption of best practices in code health, testing, and maintainability.
Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve the software.
Work with wider Engineering and Technology teams on cross-functional initiatives across a broad range of technologies, from hardware to high-availability / at-scale web systems
