Senior Software Engineer in the Embedded department (offline)

Work often involves analog and digital hardware and real-time operating systems.

The position requires knowledge of and exposure to real-time OSes, to hardware design in a small extent, and strong C programming skills.

Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities:

- Write code to implement functionality for high-level embedded applications.
- Use C as the main project language.
- Use scripting languages such as bash and python (and possibly more) for additional project-related tasks.
- Debug your code including runtime debug on real hardware.
- Be ready and comfortable to learn new custom project management solutions and components in your development process.
- Be ready to adapt to the provided development environment.
- Write tests to your code.
- Work in a distributed team, both office, and remote working locations.
- Communication in English with some part of the team.

Requirements (Education, Experience, Knowledge, skills, abilities)

- A minimum of 3 years of experience in software development in C is required.
- Strong C programming skills.
- Experience with project management and task tracking tools (JIRA, and Confluence).
- Good knowledge of git including command line.
- Strong written and verbal English language communication skills.
- Ability and willingness to communicate with the team often for effective daily problem-solving.
- Ability to learn and study new material with ease.
- Ability to tackle minor daily issues quickly.
- Good understanding of project organization practices
- Experience working with various build systems.
- Good understanding of operating system concepts such as synchronization primitives and task scheduling.
- Familiarity with the general code testing process
