Java API Developer (offline)

Project:
You will work in our central RBI Group Digital Solutions project. The goal of this platform is to provide a modern central platform for the RBI Group for digital banking. The solution uses a very modern technology stack (Spring boot based Java microservices in the AWS cloud using mostly the Netflix tech stack (Zuul, eureka, Hystrix, etc.).

Tasks and Responsibilities
- Designs and implements containerized Java microservices
- Designs, documents and implements components on API Layer
- Publishes and maintains APIs on Developer Portal
- Takes care of API design and policies
- Estimates the development efforts together with the team
- Be part of an Agile/Scrum delivery team

Job Qualification
- Adequate technical education (Technical School or University degree)
- More than 3 years of experience in implementing integration components and applications, especially in the area of digital projects or systems integration
- Good knowledge and experience in Java and common Java open source frameworks like Spring, Spring Boot.
- Good experience with containerized architectures (e.g. Docker), management tools (e.g. OpenShift) and the microservice architecture pattern
- Good data modelling and SQL know-how and knowledge of different database technologies (e.g. RDBMS, NoSQL)
- Good knowledge of (Cloud) IT infrastructure (OS, platforms, etc.)
- Agile Mindset

Will be a plus if you have experience:
- Knowledge in API definition languages (OpenAPI, Swagger, Raml)
- Experience in integration patterns and API Management Tools and infrastructure (e.g. IBM API Connect, Apigee)

Soft Skills
- Pro-active attitude, team-oriented and good analytical and problem solving skills
- Good communication and presentation skills in a multi-cultural environment
- Good command of English (mandatory)
