Sr. Illustrator (offline)

What will you be doing?
Working with our content team to design everything from new concepts to highly polished artwork;
Creating stunning illustrations for Surprise Hero characters building Habits and achieving Key Results;
Preparing art files for mobile delivery;
Participating in giving art critiques to peers;
Communicating personal production goals to design leads;
Understanding technical needs of new projects, and collaborating with other teams, as needed;
Continuously evaluating projects’ overall look, feel, and aesthetics;
Taking an active role in cultivating a dynamic and creative work environment.
What are we looking for?
Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in illustration, graphic design, animation, or a related field;
Strong art portfolio, demonstrating expertise in illustration, cartoons, typography, and lettering;
Strong knowledge of visual design theory and fundamentals (e.g. Art and Visual Perception, Color theory, Form, Branding, Anatomy);
Excellent team, communication, and organizational skills;
Exceptional skills across a variety of design disciplines, with an unwavering commitment to the highest quality of design.
What skills will come in handy?
Character design and/or cartoon illustration experience, with the ability to work across a wide variety of visual styles;
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Flash or Animate;
Solid 2D character and object rotation;
BFA or MFA from a top design program, e.g. SCAD, RISD, Pratt, RCA, etc.
