Trainee DevOps Engineer (offline)

Project description:
You’ll participate in 8 weeks training program(SRE school) in order to get up to speed with all required knowledge to operate our solutions in AWS and GCP. After successful graduation, you’ll become a part of the duty SRE team operating 24×7 and acting as L2/L3 support for project teams and clients (no end-user communications) focusing on infrastructure issues. After 3-9 months (depends on your progress) you’ll be moved into normal working hours job as an SRE or DevOps position.

SRE Team maintains the infrastructure and deployment automation, assists in designing and executing the development operations roadmap and takes ownership of all aspects of the development lifecycle.
Trainee/Junior Team members will closely communicate with the project teams to understand how their processes can be automated, and with the System, Architect to understand the full scale of the product and its infrastructure.

Requirements:
English level: B2+​ (Upper-intermediate)

*Graduating from a University in the field of IT is a good advantage or an Engineering background or background in development/system administration.

Specialized  knowledge: 

Fundamental knowledge/ basic knowledge of computer networks and the principles of the Internet
basic knowledge of the theory of building operating systems
experience installing operating systems
basic knowledge of Linux system administration
Basic skills in solving problems with the environment
Experience setting up / using IT systems monitoring
basic knowledge of network technologies (IP-addressing, masks, routes, TCP and OSI levels, basics of multilevel network protocols, NAT, PAT, firewalls)
Basic knowledge of task automation using: bash / powershell / python, etc
Experience with databases (i.e. SQL)

An additional advantage will be:
Management of CI / CD tools
Experience in using / managing GIT repositories
Experience working with containers
Basic knowledge of cloud systems
Knowledge of one of the programming languages: Java, .NET, Python, Ruby, Golang
Responsibilities:
maintaining (installation and configuration) the existing infrastructure
maintaining CI servers
updating existing scripts and writing new basic ones
performing containerisation and migration of services to the cloud (with the help of more senior engineers)
monitoring system performance and escalating issues
cooperating with the dev and QA teams to support and improve CI/CD Pipelines
