Trainee Big Data Engineer (Wroclaw) (offline)

You will get/do:

— Video training and materials in Data Science and Machine Learning fundamentals;
— become a part of a fast-moving international development team in the most promising industry;
— design and build next-generation operational telemetry using the latest technologies;
— work with a variety of data sources and help derive new advanced analytics uses cases;
— develop technical specifications, designs, tests, implements, and supports optimal data solutions for end-to-end data processing;
— document data mappings, data dictionaries, processes, programs, and solutions;
— work together with skilled software engineers who will provide mentoring during the ramp-up period.

Requirements:

— understanding of database structures, theories, principles;
— knowledge of SQL,
— understanding basic principles of Python;
— passionate about learning new technologies, strong interest in Data Science, Big Data, Machine Learning;
— having strong analytical skills, result-oriented thinking, sense of responsibility, self-organization, self-improvement potential;
— flexible and motivated to work in a fast-paced environment;
— possessing excellent soft skills and experience in communication with end business users;
— English — upper-intermediate or higher;
— readiness for relocation to Poland.

Would be a plus:

— experienced in writing and tuning complex SQLs and use analytical functions;
— experience of work with/in the finance organization
— good knowledge of Python;
— good knowledge of object-oriented concepts;
— ability to write clean, well-structured, and organized code;
— understanding Agile development processes;
— experience with Database design and optimization

Your Responsibility:

— data analysis and technical requirements;
— technical specifications and vision document creation;
— risk assessment, defining dependencies and assumptions;
— participate in meetings with a client. Propose viable solutions;
- be involved with the troubleshooting and resolution of defects in the software;
— frame and execute on some of our predictive/prescriptive use cases;
— collaborate with the Business team(s) to assess and troubleshoot potential data quality issues at key intake points such as validating control totals.
