Linux C# Software Developer (offline)

Technology startup is seeking a talented software engineer to help develop new features for a Linux-based C# software application running on custom hardware with a touch screen. The current hardware+software product is production-ready and we are currently working on the first few contracts with business partners/customers.

This application is very heavily multi-threaded and asynchronous, contains an HTTP server, WebSocket server, a simple Bootstrap+jQuery frontend, a simple serverless backend deployed on AWS (Lambda, DynamoDB, S3), executes some very CPU and RAM-intensive Linux binaries, and performs a few Linux sysadmin tasks programmatically. Most of the effort will be focused on the C# application logic, therefore frontend, backend and Linux systems work is minimal.

You will be supervised by the Cloud Software Architect, a Silicon Valley engineer with multiple years of experience in some of the largest tech companies in the world.

We foresee a part time engagement of around 4h/day for 6 months, and the possibility to switch to full time afterwards if so you desire. We are very flexible, and we understand you will have another job at the same time.
This is a remote job, and since we are not established in Ukraine we will prepare a contract agreement as an independent contractor, not as an employee. Payments will be gross (before taxes) and you must declare earnings to the Ukrainian tax organization as an individual.

Requirements:
* Fluent in English
* B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent experience.
* Professional experience in C#.
* Extensive experience with Linux and BASH.
* Good experience in multithreaded C#.
* Usage of Git.

Nice to have:
* Knowledge in cloud serverless design (FaaS, AWS Lambda, DynamoDB, CloudFormation, ECS/Fargate, CloudWatch, SQS, SNS).
* Knowledge of JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap.
