DevOps/System Engineer (offline)

Requirements:

- 3+ years’ experience in a similar position;
- solid to excellent knowledge of Linux, preferred Debian;
- solid to excellent knowledge of MySQL/MariaDB and others;
- knowledge of issues related to automation of installation and systemconfiguration processes (preferred Ansible);
- NGINX, HAPROXY, APACHE, Kafka;
- knowledge of network file systems (preferred Gluster File System);
- knowledge of issues related to system monitoring (Zabbix, Kibana, Prometheus etc.);
- English B2 spoken/written.

Will be a plus:

- knowledge of system virtualization (KVM);
- experience with NoSQL (big data) databases (MongoDB, sharding, zones);
- practical experience in one the following programming languages;
- practical experience in creating bash shell scripts;
- experience in managing large scale systems working 24/7.


Responsibilities:

- Infrastructure installation;
- Set up infrastructure for deployment;
- Deploy applications to infrastructure;
- Write playbooks for Ansible.

More about the project:

This is an enterprise project with a duration of about 10 years. 80 people of developers and devops as a whole in the team and 5 devops in the department itself. The project is well organized, the TDD approach is used, there is a code review, Confluence is implemented for knowledge sharing.
Of the accents there is a highly loaded project, you need to understand and be able to work with it, provide fault tolerance and high availability with a service (HA, High Availability).
Many servers, high peak loads, listen to recommendations.
There are used: programming languages: Java, Python, PHP and MYSQL, POSTGRESQL Mongo as DBs.
