The Scrum Master is responsible to manage the development sprints effectively and efficiently from planning to execution to review in an agile development environment. Your role will include running daily scrums, coordinating execution of sprint and product backlog including bug fixing as per defined implementation plan and in accordance to aligned priorities, ensure documentation completion as per SDLC, and unblocking barriers to keep the team moving. You will be responsible to communicate and collaborate primarily with the Product Development and Product Management.
You are responsible for:
• Guiding and coaching the Scrum Team on how to use Agile practices and principles to deliver high quality products and services to our customers.
• Facilitate and support all scrum events: Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective.
• Monitor progress and performance to help teams make improvements.
• Coach the Scrum team in self-organization, cross-functional skillset, domain knowledge and communicates effectively, both internally and externally working within the Scrum team.
• Manage project conflicts, challenges, and dynamic business requirements to keep operations running at a high performance.
• Ensure a healthy product backlog.
• Ensure deliverables are up to quality standards at the end of each sprint.
• Maintain team data in project management software (i.e. JIRA, Confluence, PPM, etc.) to support estimates and execution.
Qualifications:
• Exemplifies and promotes Agile values and principles
• 3+ years of experience as a scrum master in SW development organization.
• Good knowledge of an agile framework or method (i.e. Scrum, Kanban, XP) and understanding of software development life cycle models as well as in-depth knowledge of traditional project management principles and practices
• Excellent knowledge of Scrum techniques and artifacts (DoR, DoD, user stories, backlog refinement, retrospective, etc.)
• Excellent knowledge of Atlassian products (Confluence, Jira, Bitbucket)
• Excellent communication and servant leadership skills
• Excellent people and organizational skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to understand and represent both the business and technology
• Scrum master certification is a plus
• English B2+
