Senior Backend Engineer (offline) $6000-8000

We are building a new multi-chain DeFi primitive for zero and under-collateralized lending. At its core, the protocol leverages on-chain data, Machine Learning, and loan risk-management to effectively and profitably facilitate under-collateralized loans via blockchain.

We’re looking for a talented, self-driven Senior Backend Engineer who can help build the data pipelines and APIs for collecting and serving. In this role, you will have ownership over key parts of the our Data Pipeline, specifically around the backend infrastructure, including cache layers, databases, as well as deploying the infrastructure to the cloud and connecting into CI pipelines. The ideal candidate has the ability and motivation to design highly concurrent, distributed backends
Requirements

4+ years of experience with highly performant, concurrent distributed systems
Extensive experience building and maintaining production systems at scale.
Familiarity with Postgres and SQL.
Familiarity with caching strategies such as write-through caching, and Redis or similar.
Familiarity with queue architectures such as Kafka or similar.
Familiarity with Docker.
Familiarity with GCP or AWS.
Strong knowledge of backend languages (Python, Node.js) and frameworks.
Solid relational and NoSQL database skills (MySQL, MongoDB).
Strong understanding of REST API design and best practices.
