Qualifications and Experience

Core skills required:

- At least 1 years applicable experience (e.g. C++, Python) in a commercial environment.
- Solid understanding of OOP concepts and modern C++ features, including memory management facilities such as smart pointers, move semantics, etc.
- Experience with multi-threaded applications and TCP networking.
- The ability to produce good quality code in a timely manner.
- The ability to communicate well and work productively in a team on a
remote basis.
- Knowledge of Linux and Git.

Desirables:

- Knowledge of Boost.Asio or similar asynchronous frameworks.
- Familiarity with AWS.
- Familiarity with Python.
- Familiarity with SQL and Postgres.

On a day-to-day basis your responsibilities will include:

- Writing high quality asynchronous C++20 code and testing it.
- Working closely with the company’s CTO to solve complex technical problems.
- Reasoning about multi-threading, networking, and mission-critical infrastructure.
- Cooperating with team members on interesting projects using an Agile methodology and tools (Scrum, Gitlab, Jira).

You will help maintain and extend a large-scale distributed system written primarily in modern C++ and Boost.Asio.
