About the client:
Warner Music is one of the three largest musical labels. We are recreating their licensing and royalty creation system to be able to process large amounts of incoming data within seconds. We are creating a reactive system based in AWS, using lambda functions and Camunda as a business rules engine, which will allow to customize and scale the system infinitely.

Project: Royalties statistics portal for artists and music makers which collects information about their songs and control system of licenses.

Technology stack: Java 8, Spring, AWS, Docker, Camunda, React JS, Cassandra, Postgres, Elastic Search.

EXPERIENCE:
- Strong DBA experience with multi-terabyte Cassandra Infrastructure and - supporting tools;
- Experience in database performance tuning required;
- Experience in database upgrades required;
- Experience in all aspects of the software development lifecycle including requirements gathering, design, coding, testing and production support.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Solid understanding of NoSQLconcepts;
- Strong understanding of SQL in accessing and manipulating data;
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Strong understanding of system architecture;
- Strong understanding of general programming concepts;
- Cassandra Infrastructure and associated projects.

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design, develop and manage data on Cassandra cluster;
- End-to-end performance tuning of Cassandra clusters against very large
data sets;
- Monitor Cassandra clusters, performance, and capacity planning;
- Manage nodes of Cassandra cluster;
- Cassandra cluster connectivity and security;
- Conduct Cassandra training;
- Software patches and upgrades;
- Using monitoring and management tools;
- Troubleshoot Cassandra issues with other dbas/developers;
- Point of Contact for Vendor escalation.
