Middle Automation QA Engineer (Java) (offline)

We are actively looking for AQA Engineer to join our client’s company, which provides best-in-class software solutions for the transport industry. Based in West London, the company supplies the UK’s largest freight exchange.

What you’ll be doing?
· You will join our Quality Assurance team and you will report to the QA Lead
· You will create support test documentation
· Participate in Quality Gateway meetings
· Provide an estimation of testing efforts
· Prepare application releases
· Develop test plan specifications and test case and advocate for the user
· Build and maintain functional regression testing suite
· Work independently, without needing a set of already formulated acceptance criteria or test cases to further explore the application and find possible coverage gaps
· Formulate story acceptance criteria by independently gathering information and utilizing available resources to develop automated tests
· Challenge the intent of the user story and defining/refining the acceptance criteria

What we are expecting from you?

· 2+ years of experience with test automation
· Experience working with tools such as Selenium, Postman, Git, Jira, Splunk, Fiddler, ReadyAPI
· Demonstrable ability to test APIs, Web Services, Apps
· Strong knowledge of the HTTP protocol Representational State Transfer (REST)
· You have hands-on experience in SQL
· Broad knowledge of microservices based architectures
· Good communication skills in English
· Experience with scripting automated tests using Selenium WebDriver
· Knowledge of the Agile Software Development Life Cycle
· Ability to work and collaborate in a team-based environment
· Understanding of software architecture and ability to assess risk in early stages of development
