Senior Java back-end developer for Rakuten Viber (offline)

We’re looking for highly motivated backend developers to join our team!

Viber services are all cloud-native and utilize the latest cutting-edge cloud services. As a Viber Backend Developer, you will build a massive scale service spread across thousands of servers around the globe, utilizing NoSQL databases performing billions of operations per second.

Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver high scale projects
- Create new, awesome features for millions of users
- Design and write efficient, maintainable code supporting billions of operations per second

Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in server development
- Deep knowledge of Java
- Linux and server experience — a must
- Conversational level of English
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Higher technical education

Will be a plus
- Experience in asynchronous programming and functional programming (e.g. RxJava)
- Good understanding of C ++ code with the ability to write and debug it
- Experience in high-load projects (using Akka)
- Experience with asynchronous network structures such as Netty, Vert.x
- Knowledge of AWS and its services

- Core: deliver infrastructure components for scalable microservices, with security, performance and ease of development in mind.
- Content: develop social media features allowing users to safely share content, search and discover new content and engage with it.
- FinTech: create a platform enabling financial transactions inside a messaging application.
