About the Role

Reporting to our CEO, you will take responsibility for executing our customer success strategy and delivering our key financial goals. You will lead your team to attain the highest quality outcomes and experience for our existing and new name customers.

Our business model is built on landing and expanding revenues with our customers, and you will be working with our Sales and Marketing team to ensure that our customer obsession is maintained and that we continue to grow long and fruitful customer relationships.
You will have the opportunity to build our Professional Practices and provide long term, exciting development opportunities for our talented engineers. This is the ideal role for someone with strong technical experience who is seeking to develop their career in broader business management and be a considerable contributor to the direction of the company.

We are a small business and we expect our leaders to take part in the day to day running of the business and importantly developing an ongoing improvement to the structure and processes that will be needed to underpin our growth.

Specific Areas of Responsibility
Reporting to our CEO, you will take responsibility for executing our customer success strategy and delivering our key financial goals. You will lead your team to attain the highest quality outcomes and:

• Lead and manage the software engineering organization
• Oversee the ongoing development of our engineering standards and
approach
• Contribute to company business strategy and technology solutioning for
the clients
• Assure delivery & engineering excellence, drive continuous improvements
• Deploy appropriate standards / tools / baselines to create robust
engineering delivery
• Guide the investments in the appropriate tools and methods for
engineering
• Align with other internal organizations to support end-to-end customer
journey
• Manage team development and overall productivity improvements
• Work with Talent Acquisition team to identify and recruit great technical
talents to ensure effective mix of competencies & capabilities
• Address poor/mediocre delivery performance on a timely manner
• Recognize high performers to maintain motivation and retain key talent
• Optimize costs and improve operational efficiencies
• Regularly communicate to a team about key achievements, progress,
company & client news

Your Experience

As an international business with customers who respect our engineering capability, we are seeking candidates who have all or some of the following:

Academic and professional qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in a computer sciences or relevant areas
• Master of Business Administration is a plus

Experience

• Candidates must possess 7+ years of experience in a team software
management experience, managing both managers and their engineering
staffs
• A proven track record of building enterprise-level applications
• Strong experience in setting up engineering delivery standards, tools and
baselines
• Proven work and management experience in rapid and agile development
at scale while preserving an innovative mindset, and remaining open to
exploring new ways of working
• Demonstrated collaborative style, with the ability to influence diverse teams
and build strong relationships across various internal stakeholders
• Familiarity with Git, Jira, and Confluence
• Experience in managing partnerships with technology providers a plus

Languages

• Slovak, Czech, Russian or Ukrainian (mother tongue, or full professional
proficiency required)
• English (full professional proficiency required)
• German (nice-to-have)
• Any other language skill is highly appreciated.
