Senior DevOps Engineer (offline)

mVise is a 15-year-old german IT system integrator that specialized in agile IT-services, consulting, and owns two products (elastic.io and SaleSphere). The core competencies are in the areas of mobile and cloud computing, IT infrastructures and security as well as the integration and evaluation of complex data.

The project itself:
Vodafone Consumer Products & Services (CP&S) develops ad operates Vodafone’s device analytics platform – NetPerform. The NetPerform back-end collects crowd-sourced QoS and customer experience data in many Vodafone and Partner markets and makes it available for a variety of use cases via its web front-end or data feeds to separate Big Data systems.

The platform:
The NetPerform device analytics platform leverages cutting-edge tools and platforms around Cloud, Big Data, and Machine Learning and is developed in an Agile process using CI/CD tools. This includes the management of the tool- and script-based automation of build and deployment processes and central configuration management, while the platform is being further developed and operated in several data centers globally.

CI/CD, Change management: e.g. Jenkins, BitBucket, Github
Infrastructure as code and auto-deployment tools: e.g. Docker, Terraform
Project/Task management: e.g. JIRA
[Big Data & Cloud: Cloudera Hadoop, GCP, AWS]

RESPONSIBILITIES:
— Define and execute the migration of current CI/CD tools to Vodafone tools and cloud
— Analyze the operation monitoring of the NetPerform application and its underlying infrastructure
— Manage incident investigation
— Update, replace/migrate certificates of the NetPerform platform
— Perform Backend release updates of the NetPerform platform
— Deploy a new Backend instance of the NetPerform platform
