Senior Backend Developer (offline)

Skelia is on a hunt for a Senior Python/Go developer. If you are an expert in Python and know/are willing to learn Go — this is a perfect match! You’ll be joining our customer’s team remotely or onsite — whatever works best for you. Our customer develops a flexible personalization platform powered by AI. They use proven algorithms in a flexible toolkit to personalize websites, e-mails, push campaigns, onsite search, or interactive (chat)bot. As a result, the users will be coming back to the websites frequently and staying longer. Our customer is well-known on 3 continents and cooperated with Nexflix, Apple. By joining our project, you’ll work on various challenges such as personalization, content and product recommendation, active learning, etc.

YOUR MISSION

- Closely work together with our solution architects, data scientists, and machine learning engineers to implement the best possible solution for our customers’ massive and diverse data streams
- Create and maintain scalable data pipelines and build out new API integrations to support continuing increases in data volume and complexity
- Build high-performance algorithms, predictive models, and prototypes
- Implement processes and systems to monitor data and software quality, ensuring the platform is always accurate and available for key stakeholders and business processes that depend on it
- Work on a variety of challenges such as content and product recommendation, personalization, optimization, classification, ensemble learning, and active learning

YOUR PROFILE

- Excellent coding skills, 3+ years of experience with Python and Go or willingness to learn Go
- Be confident and proficient in working with Google Cloud Platform
- Experience with event streaming architectures, microservices, Docker, and Kubernetes
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, including Cassandra and ElasticSearch
- Working knowledge of message queuing, stream processing, and highly scalable ‘big data’ data stores will be a plus
- MSc Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
- You are a true believer in personalized online user experiences, ambitious and relevant new technologies
- You are a self-starter and need minimal supervision and guidance to get the job done
