Game Economy Designer (offline)

Requirements:
β€” 5+ years of experience designing economic models and simulations + familiarity with free-to-play economy and system design;
β€” Knowledge of macro, microeconomics, pricing theory, and statistics, especially in the free-to-play gaming industry, with the ability to model problems into quantitative systems, formulate ratios and indexes specific to each game;
β€” Ability to model and simulate planned changes, overall sinks, and sources while anticipating downstream effects with post-launch analysis to ensure expected outcomes are reached;
β€” Advanced understanding of Excel, SQL, and/or Python + R, SPSS, SAS or other statistical analysis software;
β€” Experience contributing to risk and profitability decisions in a marketplace setting;
β€” Advanced Excel modeling / lean modeling, data visualization and presentation skills;
β€” Masters or PhD in Economics with a focus on Mechanism Design;
β€” Conversational level of English;
β€” Passion for games.

Our partner is a young and fast-growing American startup operating in a field of web-based games. The current team of 40 specialists is distributed between the USA and Eastern Europe. Project: Midcore-focused browser-based first person shooter in the super early stages of development. The long-term plans include building both massive scale games as well as a platform for players and professional creators to mod the first-party games as well as make entirely new games or social experiences on top of our platform.
