Middle QA Automation Engineer (Java) (offline)

Project description
The application is a workload automation platform that provides a centralized, enterprise-wide interface for planning and controlling the execution of business processes, applications, data, middleware, and infrastructure. The team is working on a tool that helps to simplify the management of the data between different instances of the main application. It offers advanced capabilities for storing, organizing, sharing, and using job data across multiple application instances. It supports best practices for change management and maintains a complete history and auditable record of revisions.

Team and Workflow
The team is allocated in Belarus and Ukraine, working on the same product with our colleagues overseas located mainly in the Chicago area. In addition to engineers, we have a Technical Writer and Release Manager roles, and a dedicated QA team. We use Jira to manage our backlog and to track the work progress, XRay for test management. We follow the Scrum process with all major ceremonies - daily stand-ups, planning, refinement, retrospective sessions, and a lot of interpersonal communication.

● Frontend: JavaScript, React.js, Redux
● Database: MS SQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL
● OS: Windows, Linux
● Repository: GIT, SVN
● Tools: Jenkins, Selenide, Cucumber, RestAssured, XRay, Jira, Confluence

Responsibilities
● Implement automated tests for new features as well as support existing test automation framework (TAF)
● Review and process nightly run TAF execution results.
● Support QA automation CI/CD infrastructure.
● Identify test cases, work with Business Analysts to determine requirements are captured correctly, work with the development team to analyze and resolve defects
● Maintain quality of the platform in a fast-paced deployment and release environment
● Troubleshoot field issues and communicate directly with the team and customer

Qualifications and Skills
● 2-3 years of experience in test automation for requirement validation, integration, regression, performance or usability testing
● Basic knowledge of Java programming.
● Experience in building/supporting REST-based API automation
● Experience in automating UI (Selenium-based tools).
● Hands-on experience in operating with databases and writing SQL queries
● Good knowledge of REST
● Hands-on experience with Git/Subversion, Jira, and Confluence is a must
● Experience in work with Linux systems
● Good insight into working with Jenkins CI
● Knowledge of XRay is a plus
● Performance testing experience is a plus
● Strong analytical skills and ability to understand multi-component systems
● Intermediate English level or higher
