Senior MySQL Database Engineer (offline)

Our customer is a leading global online broker specializing in Forex, CFDs, Commodities and Spot Metals since 2010. They are operating under of multiple of reputable licenses and offices around the world.

Requirements:
- Extensive experience on MySQL administration is required
- Practical knowledge of planning, implementation and administration
- Experience with performance tuning and optimization (PTO)
- Experience with backups, restores and recovery models
- Knowledge of clustering, high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) options
- Exposure and practice with zero-downtime procedures
- Good understanding of monitoring requirements
- Demonstrable experience of administering Linux based systems
- Self-taught and enthused to grow your skill set with new technologies as the industry

Responsibilities:
- Administer MySQL servers
- Engage in availability, performance monitoring and capacity planning
- Ensure security of databases
- Create and implement backup strategies and perform upgrades and patching
- Creating and reviewing/optimizing database schemes, queries and stored procedures
- Troubleshoot methodically, identify, and apply fixes for known errors
- Think outside of the box and work to resolve complex issues
