UX designer (offline)

The IT Digital Solutions group is looking for a talented UX Designer to join the Experience Design team to help create intuitive and impactful digital product experiences across a variety of brands. In this position, you will work with a product team to create alignment around user needs and business outcomes while working to appropriately solve them using efficient and consistent design patterns. Your success will be measured by the experiences that your team ships and the team’s impact in identifying goals that are critical to success, highlighting the value of innovation through great design, and identifying and testing with the right users.

Responsibilities
Experience Design
Understands technical systems, employee and user touch points.
Understands current-state services.
Re-imagines services and evaluates impacts to the customer experience.
Designs solutions that will work across roles and contexts.
Coordinates thoughtful and intentional service offerings and supporting information across multiple touchpoints.
Interaction Design
Understands basic interactions, and current design patterns for a platform. Captures workflows in design.
Designs complete, usable workflows. Presents design externally, and incorporates feedback.
Observes and improves existing interactions. Ensures consistency and high quality. Anticipates user paths and creates the most logical flow. Explains each design iteration, findings, and recommendations.
Usability & Prototyping
Uses rapid prototyping tools to simulate proposed designs in order to better judge their user experience.
Develops and internally presents usability hypotheses, surveys and questionnaires, identifies test participants. Records research observations. Synthesizes data, recommends action.
Identifies a target audience. Schedules, and recruits participants, conducts interviews, deploys surveys. Minimizes bias, ensures research results are highly useful. Discovers unidentified, unmet or undermet needs. Builds consensus and obtains approval to move projects forward.

Qualifications
A successful candidate for this position will have:
Bachelor’s Degree from four-year college or university; or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
2+ years designing digital experiences with creative software
Sketch
InVision
UserZoom
Illustrator & Photoshop
Familiarity with accessibility, and responsive design.
Strong communication skills & proficiency in English

Focus
The UX Designer will be focused on the design and completion of the MyDISH redesign. Using new and existing design patterns from our design system, you will improve the design and test self service interactions with users for account management, and create a unified navigation and login experience for dish.com and my.dish.com
