Lead Data Engineer (for Syniti) (offline)

Syniti is a leading international company with more than 20 years of experience in the field. The company is engaged in data transformation projects for Forbes’ Global 2000 organizations. Syniti’s software applies automation and guidance infused by AI and machine learning technologies to data migration, data quality, analytics, master data management, metadata management, and information governance initiatives.

What will you do?

Responsibilities:

- Effectively design and implement data migration strategies and tools
- Create and implement data migration maps
- Design and create data extraction and loading strategies and tools
- Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture
- Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional / non-functional business requirements
- Drive business process workshops, data quality validations, and data discussions with the end client.
- Participate in end-to-end data migration for SAP and/or other ERP systems.
- Lead data migration and conversion activities for functional modules like Procure to pay, Sales & Distribution etc.
- Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.
- Work with stakeholders including the Executive, Product, Data and Design teams to assist with data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs
- Be the lead of the expert data scientists and data engineers team to maintain our product as the innovative industry leader
- Use data and analytics to improve the functionality of the data systems

Required skills and experience:

- 7+ years of experience as a Data Engineer
- Advanced knowledge of SQL, including SQL query optimization, performance improvement, database structures etc
- Experience with relational SQL and NoSQL databases
- Experience with relational databases, query authoring (SQL), familiarity with a variety of databases
- Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement
- Build processes supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency, and workload management
- A successful history of manipulating, processing, extracting, and migrating large datasets
- Experience with ETL ( Extract, Transform & Load) tools like SSIS, BODS, Informatica, etc.
- Experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment
- Experience with object-oriented/object function scripting languages: Python, other
- Great teamwork, interpersonal, and communication (both written and verbal) skills
- Superb analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- High level of attention to detail and personal responsibility
- English - C1
- A graduate degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Informatics, Information Systems, or another quantitative field

Would be a plus:

- Experience working with at least one of the data operations or ETL tools: SAP BODS, SAP LSMW, SAP Migration Cockpit, Informatica, Talend, Microsoft SSIS
- Current knowledge of SAP systems, deployment, and integration
- Hands-on experience in the SAP environment
- Experience in ERP data migration or ERP migration projects
- Experience from SAP data migration-related projects
- Experience with Syniti Platform
- German Language knowledge (all levels)
