Java Team Lead (offline)
We are looking for a passionate and sharp Team Leader to join our development team.
Our customer is the innovator in streaming products (not only audio and video, but used also in online surgeries and automotive high-technical processes), existing for more than 20 year on the market of streaming, survived tens of competitors and still developing the unique streaming technology, which is the solutions of tomorrow.
The customer now is willing to create a team in Ukraine, starting from the promising Team Leader position, who will be the first say in creating your own team in Ukraine
The first person we employ will probably have to work several months as a full-time engineer before building the team and managing it
We expect that you have:
* Good understanding and experience of concurrent and multithreaded programming.
* Experience in Java Development, at least 4 years.
* Ability to read and understand C Programming Language.
* Experience with OOP and usage of UML.
* Experience in a variety of software development approaches.
* Experience in both architecture and implementation-level software design.
* Experience in Video/Audio codecs and Video/Audio streaming would be a plus.
* Experience in people management and the ability to lead and influence others at least 2-3 years.
* Experience in formal personal development planning and individual, team and process performance management Proven.
* Experience in leading and managing the delivery of system/software development projects in a structured environment at least 5 years (hands-on).
* Experience in requirements capture, analysis techniques and process improvement approaches.
* Very good English skills.
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, related field.

Key responsibilities
Your day-to-day activities will include:
* Create the team of 2-3 under you
* Grow and manage the team of 3 — 20 people on team (foreseeable growth up to 20) depending on customers needs
* Use Scrum, Agile — methodology, all Atlassian tools, slack, a lot of automation, full methodology, Jira
