Business Analyst (offline) $1800-2300
Position Description
The IT BA will create business requirements, improve systems, and evaluate user/employee needs in order to interface effectively with the IT team, overseeing projects from start to finish. Candidates must be able to proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential risks, and devise contingency plans and gap analyses as needed. We are seeking a candidate with a strong intuition and an appetite to learn across a wide range of disciplines with our organization. Because the candidate will be communicating with a US-based office regularly, strong spoken and written English skills and a willingness to work a staggered work schedule are a must for the position.
Candidates will work out of our Odessa, Ukraine office, which is the main location of our IT group, and will report to the Senior Product Manager, located in Norwalk (CT), USA. Therefore, comfort and familiarity with virtual conferencing and distance collaboration are a must. The IT BA will work closely with other IT BAs as well as Developers and QA Engineers. The IT BA will collaborate with other project stakeholders including various departments within our organization including Accounting/Finance, Account Management, Customer Experience, Sales/Marketing, and Operations.
Major Areas of Responsibility
Gather and document detailed requirements for projects of varying scope, complexity, and urgency
Help to prioritize projects and take the lead as the project manager between IT group and project stakeholders
Collect and interpret large datasets
Recommend improvements to business processes and systems
Job Requirements
Minimum Job Qualifications:
1−3 years of experience as a business analyst, project manager, or related field
Excellent written and strong spoken English skills
Interest in technology and strong computer skills
Preferred, but not required:
Technical background
BA or BS in a technical or business field relevant to the position
Work experience in web retail or academic industry
Basic understanding of SQL commands
