Data Product Manager (offline)

Job Description:

As a Product Manager you will be empowered to own the strategy and execution of your product roadmap. The Product Manager is a member of a highly collaborative product development team and works with other product owners in our segment to prioritize new capabilities to best serve critical business needs. You will play a critical role in shaping Jabil’s data platform initiatives, a core aspect of our strategic priorities. You will collaborate with internal customers and use cases as you lay the foundation for our data platform capabilities

You will be expected to

• Manage a product roadmap that serves internal stakeholders and centralizes Jabil EMS’s data-as-a-service capabilities
• Guide your agile development squad as you participate in planning meetings, and provide advice, clarification and SME support during the execution of each iteration
• Deconstruct complex, ambiguous, ambitious ideas into sprint-sized epics and user stories
• Communicates the product roadmap clearly and inspires the team by painting target product vision; articulates link between user stories and the product strategy to both team and customers
• Plan releases and support go-live activities
• Collaborate externally with vendors and strategic partners
• Build relationships and work collaboratively with internal teams to understand how data is used across the business

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in product-related roles or transferable experience
• 1+ years’ experience leading a team of 5+ people preferred
• 3+ years’ working with technical teams
• Experience working in an Agile environment (enterprise SaaS an asset)
• Experience and comfort managing data-heavy products and data engineering teams
• Technical aptitude: past experience in business analysis, data management or analytics highly preferred
• Intermediate SQL skills and advanced documentation skills
• Cloud data platform engagements (preferably in AWS)
• Able to connect the dots between all sides of the business (engineering, product management, support, security, etc.) as you prioritize effectively and articulate your trade-off decisions
• Exceptional presentation and communication skills (both written and verbal)
• Strong attention to detail, organizational and project management skills
• Passion for Product Management (certifications, event involvement)
• Previous manufacturing experience would be beneficial, but not required
