AFV Partners is seeking a talented Cybersecurity Engineer with an investigative mindset, critical-thinking attitude, and solid problem-solving skills to join our team and assist in driving the protection of our international resources.

Required Skills
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
At least 2 years in incident management or related duties
Must be able to function in a dynamic environment subject to impromptu changes in schedules and priorities
Works well under pressure and within aggressive time constraints
Ability to receive guidance and diligently work to complete assigned tasks to meet delivery requirements
Cybersecurity certification such as SSCP, CCNA-Security, Security+, CEH, etc.
Knowledge and experience with performing information system continuous monitoring of security controls
Working knowledge analyzing and documenting security control deficiencies and system vulnerabilities
Working knowledge in securing cloud environments
IaaS and PaaS (AWS, Azure, Google, etc.)
SaaS (Microsoft Office 365, Google Docs, SAP, etc.)
Data encryption and key management
Data protection in the cloud: DLP, intrusion detection, etc.
Experience with compliance technologies and reporting (vulnerability management, server hardening, configuration management, etc.)

Key Responsibilities
Manage security tools such as Palo Alto firewalls, Nessus scans, MS 365 Defender, AWS security tools, Proofpoint tools, Jira case management, and more
Research specific threat issues via threat modeling
Assist with the development of architectural security standards and best practices documentation
Assist in the development of a governance program
Identify problems with security processes and recommend/implement solutions to resolve or improve processes
Assist in conducting periodic reviews to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures
Maintain a broad knowledge of technology, equipment and/or systems to include the configuration, maintenance, analysis and use of computer forensics tools, metadata tools, audit reduction tools, firewalls, various operating systems, etc.
