The in-house development team consists of the CTO, a tech lead, and a UI/UX specialist.

About the vacancy

The client's product is a 4K video processing and delivery solution. This solution will allow creating, uploading, and delivering video files that will be controlled by the developed application. The created video content will be streamed to a special device and will be used in the marketing sphere, at events, and in any other business field.

DataArt will augment the client's team in a new project from scratch. The development team on DataArt’s side consists of Node.js and React developers, DevOps, a project manager, and a business analyst (probably). The in-house development team consists of the CTO, a tech lead, and a UI/UX specialist.

We hire people not to a project, but to the company. If the project (or your work in it) is over, you go to another project or to a paid “Idle.”

Must have
- Experience in automating administrative tasks
- Experience in administering OS (understanding the principles of building fault-tolerant systems)
- Hands-on experience with at least one of the cloud platforms: AWS. Experience with an additional cloud platform is a big plus.
- EC2 skills: load balancers, auto-scaling
- Experience with storage systems: S3, EBS
- Understanding of container orchestration services: ECS, EKS
- Theoretical knowledge of/experience with network administration
- Understanding of OSI or TCP/IP models
- Understanding of networking (static routing, subnets, gateways)
- Basic skills in network utilities (traceroute, ping, Nmap, nslookup)
- Experience in working with/administering CI systems (e.g. Jenkins, Gitlab CI, else)
- Experience with version control systems (e.g. git, tfvc, subversion)
- Knowledge of source code versioning approaches (e.g. gitflow)
- Knowledge and experience with relational database administration
- Basic knowledge of programming languages (e.g. Python, Java)
- Knowledge of assembly methods and testing tools
- Good spoken English

Would be a plus
- Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g. bash or Powershell)
- Experience with other services (e.g. CloudFront, Route53, Lambda)
- Understanding of the “core” protocols (HTTP(S), DNS, TCP, ICMP)
- Experience with/theoretical understanding of building continuous delivery/continuous deployment
- Knowledge of development methodologies, particularly with Agile/Scrum
- Knowledge/experience with NoSQL
- Understanding of how to use different databases in different conditions
- Experience with orchestration/configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, etc)
- Experience in implementing infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
- Experience in building CI/CD using native AWS (CodeDeploy, CodePipeline)
- Main cloud providers’ certification (AWS)
