Responsibilities:
The R&D Team plays a critical role in Shelf’s future development and direction. We’re working directly with the executives and responsible for designing and implementing strategic R&D initiatives:

- Rapidly design, prototype, and experiment possible (deep) learning solutions to solve real-world problems in a highly ambiguous environment.
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to integrate successful solutions into large-scale, highly complex production systems
- Take ownership and pride in the products we build and always make sure they are of the highest standard
- Be empathetic towards team members and customers

Required skills:
- 2+ years of experience with a proven record in the ML and analytics
- Solid programming experience in
- Strong English verbal and written communication
- Understanding foundations of Learning (e.g. supervised/unsupervised learning, classification, regression, validation)
- Experience in development, deployment, optimization, and support of learning solutions
- Experience with (SageMaker, Lambda, SQS, SNS, DynamoDB, Step Functions, Batch, ECS, EC2)
- Experience with Container Services (Docker, Kubernetes, etc)
- Experience working with large-scale unstructured and structured sets and databases
- Experience in building API services

As a plus:
- Understanding theoretical concepts of Recommendation Systems, (language modeling, text classification, sequence classification, question answering, clustering, topic modeling)
- Experience with ML frameworks and libraries:Scikit-Learn, HuggingFace, fastText, Gensim, NumPy, pandas
- Experience with processing tools and frameworks (Apache Spark, Airflow, etc)
- Model optimization and compression (distillation, pruning, quantization, etc)
