Intermediate Business Analyst (offline)

About the project
Our client is a major player in the Point of Sale domain in the US market (the customers are 11 of the top 25 US-based fast food chains) and is about to start working on the European market.

Working for an analytics and customer engagement platform building company, we are looking to expand our team to work on the application suite which includes:
1) Analytics and data integration to give small merchants access to the same types of big data tools that their large competitors use;
2) Marketing and web service integration to power various marketing tools like email marketing, social reputation management and other tools.

The product allows 70,000 end users to quickly validate their marketing, provides social reputation and customer demographics. It is both challenging and exciting, as it includes three products with integrations with third party providers. There is development on client side for each of the modules, so you will be constantly coordinating with the onsite team to deliver. Our end-clients customer base includes over 2.5 million merchant locations spread across more than 30 countries. Your work will impact small merchants world-wide by empowering them to make data driven marketing decisions, as their large competitors do, to grow their business.

Responsibilities
- Become the main point of communication for product stakeholders in terms of requirements and product functionality
- Assist Product Management in defining product vision and scope of prospective work
- Elicit, analyze and document software requirements
- Assist Product Management in prioritizing management of the features
- Visualize workflows of the developed solution by means of Use Case and Activity diagrams (UML) or Process and Collaboration models (BPMN)
- Assist designers in designing UI and UX
- Maintain requirement traceability
- Manage changes requested by stakeholders
- Act as a proxy product owner (representing Product Management for the team)
- Assist the team by clarifying requirements with the client and presenting them to the team
- Deliver a presentation on the implemented solution to the customer

Requirements
- Advanced English skills (both written and spoken)
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent analytic skills
- Outstanding sense of duty and business ethics
- Ability to explain complex concepts in simple terms
- 2+ years’ work experience in a BA/Product Manager position
- Good theoretical and practical knowledge of BA methodology and tools (functional/non-functional requirements, use cases, user stories, traceability)
- Experience with bug tracking tools (Redmine, Jira)
- Experience working with modeling tools (Balsamiq, UXPin, Axure, Visio etc.)
- Strong attention to detail

Will be a plus
- Technical background
- Knowledge of modeling notations (UML, BPMN)
- Expertise in the restaurant or retail area (or the goal to become an expert in one)
- US visa
- Familiarity with how POS systems operate
