QA Manual Engineer (Android App and Embedded Product) - Swiss Startup) (offline)

What is the project about:
Proven cloud-native point of sale solution with payment and fuel integrations for gas stations. Indoor sales are managed through our Android app for the cashier tablet and the customer screen. Outdoor sales are managed through our outdoor payment terminal platform which is fully integrated with the indoor point of sale but can also be operated standalone

The Challenge
Participate in driving the quality of the product, all the way from requirement
specification through release
Provide feedback on product performance and user experience
Write test plans to accommodate for the companies business goals
Be a focal point regarding the products overall quality and feature readiness.
Flexible in everything for our TM

Technical Skills and Experience, must-have's:

● At least 4-5 years of experience in QA
● Ability to understand business requirements and monitor their correct implementation (code,
implementation priority, PRs)
● Experience with testing REST APIs
● Web application testing experience
● Mobile application testing experience
● Working knowledge with any test management software (Zephyr, qTest, qMetry, etc.)

Technical Skills and Experience, nice-to-have's:

● Experience with Continuous Integration tools (Jenkins, Ansible, Octopus, etc.)
● Experience with relational database concepts and SQL (NoSQL experience is a plus) -
PostgreSQL, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, etc.
● Experience with Java unit test frameworks (JUnit, Mockito, PowerMock)
● Experience with web testing frameworks/tools (e.g. Jest, Mocha, Jasmine, Enzym, Cypress, Selenium WebDriver)
● Experience in load and performance testing, basic concepts
● Application performance profiling experience
● Experience with NoSQL databases
● Experience with Android
● Experience with Linux
● Experience with material UI or other UI/UX guidelines
● Experience in any tool to track down memory leaks, allocation, energy (Android Monitor/DDMS)
● Experience in using Maven/Gradle
● Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes etc.)
● Basic understanding of the web platform and the Client-Server Architecture

● Analytical approach to bug identification and reproduction
● Strong interest and curiosity in order to dig deep into requirements/processes
● Perfectionism with a focus on accuracy and consistency
● Ability to monitor inconsistencies, risks and problems on an ongoing basis
