We are looking for a Backend Engineer to join our development team. This hands on role will require strong technical skills, the ability to architect new applications and work in a small team of engineers on a big project. It will also require a product driven approach and having an opinion about what we are building. To succeed in this role you should have past experience of building a brand new code base and taking a product from concept to launch.

What you will do

~ Work closely with functional heads, stakeholders to understand the requirements and come up with solutions.
~ Architect, develop, and maintain the product
~ Crafting technical specs, writing readable and extensible code, and keeping tabs on post-release metrics
~ Design fault-tolerant systems that can scale, and allow us to move quickly without impacting customer access
~ Responsible (together with the team members) for the Infrastructure platform, up-time, architecture & scale
~ Ensure technical design and development meets security compliance criteria at all time
~ Take a major part in our strategic growth — technology and process-wise

It’d be great if you also:
~ Investigate and address issues with performance, scalability, and maintainability
~ Participate in code reviews
~ Mentor and guide engineers on best practices

About you

~ Hands-on experience with MERN technologies stack
~ Typescript skills are must-have
~ Good understanding of software design patterns
~ Practical experience in building scalable real-time communication systems
~ Practical experience with extensive batch processing workloads
~ Experience with containerization using Docker is a plus
~ Familiarity with messaging services (SQS/RabbitMQ/AmazonMQ)
~ Experience with microservice-based software architecture
~ Knowledge of API documentation tools (Swagger)
~ Hands-on experience with cloud providers (Amazon Web Service)
~ Practical experience with third party API integrations
~ To be ready to tackle infrastructure challenges when needed
~ Good understanding and practical knowledge of CI/CD methods
~ Upper-Intermediate English
