Kotlin Developer (offline)

About project:
Our client is an insurance company, which focuses on different types of catastrophes. The risk evaluation model is dependent on locations in the world, type of catastrophe, type of business, etc.

Your area of responsibility:
-Helping design, build, maintain back-end solutions;
-Ensuring that solid development practices, such as proper use of source control, full testing processes, and automated deployment mechanisms are followed;
-Maintaining existing systems and supporting migration to our new platform;
-Helping the team with all aspects of development: identifying potential performance issues, bottlenecks, and pain points, recommending new and creative ways to solve them, working with requirements;
-Contribution to an Agile team doing continuous improvement;
-Taking ownership of feature development and ongoing maintenance;
-Working in enterprise-level solutions for big data.

Skills and requirements:
-At least 4 year’s experience of working with Kotlin;
-Technical understanding of infrastructure components, their dependencies, and interactions between servers, virtual systems, networks, databases, web applications, etc.;
-The ability to efficiently communicate and integrate with an international team;
-Upper-Intermediate level of English and higher.

Will be a plus:
-Working experience with JavaScript;
-Natural Language Processing and Semantic Web;
-Good working knowledge of Actian Vector;
-Business logic outlook.
