This position is for a Java Engineer (Cloud Developer) within GBU for delivering and operating common cloud application services for use across all business units.

What To Expect:

We work in small teams using state-of-the-art technologies.

The position can be from one of Oracle’s offices or remote work from home.

Responsibilities:

Code and manage cloud application services.
Work with state-of-the-art Cloud technologies.
Use and contribute to the Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery process (CI/CD).
Demonstrate dedication and responsibility in delivering results and shall be Team Player.
Take pride in owning what you build, supporting it in production, and continuously monitoring and evolving it to improve performance, scalability, and ease of use.

Desired Skills/Experience:

Minimum 2+ years of Software Development experience.
Strong understanding of OOP principles
Proven working experience in Java, REST APIs, Spring framework
Good understanding of Cloud Native Architecture and principles.
Basic experience in Continuous Integration (CI), Test Strategies, Git, Gitlab, Maven, Docker.
Basic knowledge of Agile methodologies and principles.
Great interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to quickly learn new technologies, improve skills and develop yourself.

Nice to have:

Experience in developing SaaS and PaaS.
Knowledge of Relational Databases, SQL, and ORM technologies (JPA2, Hibernate)
Experience in Unix scripting.
Contribution to open-source projects is a plus.
