Splunk Implementation and Administration Engineer (based in POLAND) (offline)

Resourcefulness is a necessary skill in this role. You should be able to diagnose and resolve problems quickly. You should also have the patience to communicate with a variety of interdisciplinary teams and users.
Your goal will be to ensure that our Splunk technology infrastructure runs smoothly and efficiently to run ITOps.

Key Responsibilities:

- Set up accounts and workstations
- Creating glass-tables
- Use SPL & KPI based searches and sub-searches
- Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements
- Troubleshoot issues and outages
- Performance management
- Ensure security through access controls, backups and firewalls
- Upgrade systems with new releases and models
- Develop expertise to train staff on new technologies
- Build an internal wiki with technical documentation, manuals and IT policies
- Drive continuous service improvements and benefit value realization

Technical Skills:

- System Administration level understanding of Splunk enterprise and ITSI software. Other Element monitoring tools & Event management products viz. BMC Trusight, SCOM, IBM Netcool, MF OMi is an added advantage;
Skills in technical areas which support the deployment , data onboarding, integration and maintenance of Splunk and its components in distributed and clustered architectures.
- Support infrastructure and application monitoring using Splunk Apps, Add-ons, SNMP and API based integrations. Support Event management and correlation use cases.
- Versed with Service model design, creating glass-table, visualization and adoption of Splunk machine learning tool kit for various predictive analytical use cases.
- Versed with SPL, searches and sub-search CLI for various monitoring and event management use cases.
- Familiar with data onboarding and troubleshoot data latency & performance issues at collection, parsing, indexing and search tiers.
- Skills in Java scripting, python, perl, shell scripting and multiple Programming languages and technologies preferred

Qualifications/Certifications:

- 3+ relevant years on Splunk lifecycle support application development experience
- 5+ relevant years deploying Enterprise Event Management Software Solutions.
- Ideally ITIL Certification level with good understanding on Availability and Event management process
- Maintains advanced Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Visio, Project and other relevant tools.
