Backend Software Engineer/Java Developer (offline)

We are looking for a Backend Software Engineer/Java Developer for one of our client - the industry leader in organizational health diagnostics which are fundamentally transforming the way organizations make critical business decisions with their robust diagnostic engine, rooted in AI and Natural Language Processing.

Your Role:
Build and support our backend REST API and array of microservices
Propose best-in-class solutions to challenging problems, including technical design of new product features
Work internally with customer success team as needed
Think about creative ways to improve the performance and overall architecture of our platform

Requirements:
2+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on REST APIs and backend development
Deep and practical knowledge of Java
Strong knowledge of SQL and database architecture
Self-starter and motivated to get things done, with attention to detail and collaborative work style
Willingness to take risks, make mistakes, and unafraid to ask for help
Strong communication skills and English language proficiency

Good to have:
Knowledge of JavaScript or Python
Experience with Java frameworks such as Dropwizard
Experience with devops, AWS, Lambda, microservices
Familiarity with AI, NLP, and/or machine learning
Experience with performance tuning, query optimization and caching
