Linux Production Engineer (offline) $8000-12000

We’ve a more than the decade-old team of slightly more than thirty folks from a variety of backgrounds, spread around the globe. Some have run clusters of thousands of machines at national labs, others have optimized systems to the hilt for distributed databases, contributed to core Python, or skipped college and taught themselves information security. What connects the team is a desire to work on challenging technical problems, keep learning new things, and do so in a collaborative and supportive environment. As a team, we design and support the trading infrastructure and the high-performance computing environment, solving for both latency and parallelism. We cover everything from BIOS tweaks and certifying the newest chassis to supporting internally written applications to helping advise people around the company, using a blend of open source and homegrown code.

As a Production Engineer, you will have the opportunity to showcase yourself in a deeply technical setting with exceptional troubleshooting skills when required. We are looking for someone who loves learning new cutting-edge technologies and getting their hands dirty to solve challenging technical problems. Both offer opportunities to work directly with a variety of teams on projects spanning many branches of computing. We’re also open to remote work within the time zone with few limitations, so don’t hesitate to apply.
