Senior DevOps (Ansible) (offline) $4000-5200

We’re opening the position of Senior DevOps Engineer to join the new team to design new and improve the existing deployment pipeline for our customers. They provide SAAS solutions that help companies to optimize their businesses. These solutions include business planning & execution, processes automation, and optimization. The Customer’s platform leverages industry-leading artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) for better predictions and prevention of disruptions across the businesses. Customers value our experience and want to extend a team to develop new functionality.

We are planning to form a team of 8 DevOps engineers comprising of few existing team members (1 architect, 3 Senior DevOps).

New team will help us enhance our CI/CD pipelines based on Ant, Jenkins, Ansible & Python plugins to eliminate manual steps & make end to end automated deployment to Azure cloud possible.

Responsibilities:
Development Environment ownership and maintenance and participating in the release process
Participating in team activities such as backlog grooming, planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives
Collaborating with the team to identify and fix technical problems
Implementing the best practices and coding standards of the project
Working on identifying the project risk and planning mitigation action with the Account Manager at the project level
Designing the deployment process and building deployable images
Ansibling code changes to spin up containers (may need to understand when to spin up VM or containers)
Pipeline changes to deploy containers
Discussion with cloud on how the spinning up would happen (how to create containers on demand)
Pipeline changes to consume YAMLs from UI to deploy containers

Requirements:
4+ years of experience in DevOps Engineering
Good experience in executing under Scrum/Agile framework
Experience with Python
Git, Jenkins, github actions understanding
Ansible skills and experience is mandatory
ANT, Maven builds knowledge
Experience with Unix Shell & Windows Batch Scripting, PowerShell
Experience with Azure Cloud SDK, Azure CLI
Degree in Computer Science or related fields
English level — Upper-Intermediate

Will be a plus:
Understanding of Java, J2EE application deployments (jar, war, ear, JMX, MBeans etc…)
Docker, Azure knowledge
WebSphere/WebLogic experience is a big plus
