Engineering Manager (offline)

A newly founded Health & Fitness company is looking for an Engineering Manager

You will work on challenging projects both, from a product and technical perspective. Hence, you will manage a product, but still will be involved in building, testing, and deploying ML models together with a team of developers.

Zing Coach is built on top of a custom chatbot engine and a set of recommender systems. As a company, we aim at improving our technology by building a better platform that helps our users to exercise better and achieve their health goals.

Zing is part of the Palta family, a venture studio that’s launched and developed such products as Flo (#1 health & fitness app in the US, the most popular female health app globally, 40M MAY, 180M+ downloads), Prisma (app of the year 2016, 150M downloads), Simple Fasting (#1 fasting app in the US) and many more. *You'll contribute by:*

- Manages staff and assigns tasks to engineering and technical personnel
- Monitors progress against project schedules and budgets; recommends allocation of resources as required to accomplish goals
- Responsible for assisting in interviewing, hiring, and training employees
- Leads teams in the development of new products, solutions, and processes
- Assures that processes meet quality and safety compliance guidelines
- Be a part of an Agile-based and distributed team (Munich/Warsaw/Kyiv)
- Be a part of Palta's community of engineers (talents from MSQRD, Prisma Labs, Flo Health, VOIR, wannaby, etc.)
- Bring own ideas to shape the future of Zing AI Fitness Coach

*We expect that you have:*

- Many years' engineering experience
- Personnel and project management skills
- Expert-level knowledge of sector technology and processes
- Strategic thinking
- Data analytics skills and experience
- Leadership, teambuilding, and mentoring skills
- Proficiency in using presentation software to explain complex information to non-technical management personnel and other stakeholders
- Self-starter who can take ownership of projects from concept to release
- English C1+

*Beneficial skills:*

- Preferably, a degree in Information Technology, Software Engineering or a related field
- Highly interested in a fast-paced software development environment
