Android Developer (Middle/Senior) (offline)

A newly founded Health & Fitness company is looking for an Android Developer.

Our mission at Zing Coach is to inspire people to move daily by combining a unique fitness methodology with the motivational style of an Emotional AI coach.

Zing is part of Palta family, a venture studio that’s launched and developed such products as Flo (#1 health & fitness app in the US, the most popular female health app globally, 38M MAY, 180M+ downloads), Prisma (app of the year 2016, 150M downloads), Simple Fasting (#1 fasting app in the US) and many more. Palta is a unique community of founders, investors and world-class experts focused on mobile consumer products.

*You'll contribute by:*

- Develop Zing for Google Play market from scratch
- Translate designs and wireframes into high-quality code
- Design, build and maintain high performance, reusable, and reliable code
- Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the application
- Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs
- Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization
- Hire, lead and manage Android team

*We expect that you have:*

- You developed at least three apps, of which at least one is available via Google Play
- Experience with Android SDK and multiple versions of Android
- Experience with Android framework, as well as offline storage, threading, and performance tuning
- Must be familiar with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services
- Development experience with accelerometers, touch, gyroscopes, and additional sensors
- Experience with Android UI principles and best practices
- Knowledge of the open-source Android ecosystem and the available libraries
- Experience with cloud message APIs and usage of push notifications

*Beneficial skills:*

- Experience in a startup is strongly preferred
- It’d be a plus if you had some experience in one of the following sectors: health&fitness, education, wellness, healthcare, femtech
- Passionate about Health&Fitness
- Passion for learning new things and continuous improvement
- English (B1+)
