Senior Python Developer (offline)

REQUIREMENTS
5+ years of working experience in software development
Python 3.7+
Developing custom Python packages
Python code automated testing (pytest)
User-friendly documentation of Python packages / API (sphinx – https://www.sphinx-doc.org/)
Developing business logic for datascientists/traders (in Python, most commonly used packages: pandas, matplotlib, plotly, pyodbc, azure-*)
Conda (https://docs.conda.io/)
Docker – building docker images for databricks / Jenkins (images with conda environment containing our custom Python packages + third-party packages)
Databricks noteboocks – occasional support of users having issues using our Python packages in databricks noteboocks
Jenkins (pipelines in Groovy language)
Transact-SQL (mainly in context of developing Python API to simplify access to SQL databases/tables for end users)
Ability to quickly learn new technologies
Upper-Intermediate level of English

WILL BE A BIG PLUS
Azure DevOps (build / release pipelines in YAML)
Azure Cloud, mainly: Azure SQL Server, Azure DataLake / DataLake Gen2 (mainly in context of Python API), Azure KeyVault
Occasional support of legacy automated tests written in C# (e.g. integration tests against Azure Cloud)

RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop solutions and algorithms according to technical specifications or other requirements documentation; use standard algorithms in the applicable cases
Write program code according to the defined application architecture
Possess knowledge of software development methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, etc.)
Structure and format the source code, comment and mark up the code, as well as name variables, functions, classes, data structures, and files according to the company conventions and industry best practices
Implement code refactoring and optimization methods. Post refactoring and optimization results to the collective knowledge base as the best practices
Modify existing software code and test its availability. Analyze software code compliance with readability and performance standards
Use version control systems to track code optimization progress, as well as to merge or split code entities. Commit changes according to version control rules
Perform analysis, verification, and debugging of the software code at the level of application units
Determine software product compliance with the technical requirements
Communication with a client
