NOC / VoIP engineer (offline)

Skills and qualifications:

1+ years experience as Linux system administration;
Understanding of SIP/RTP protocols basics;
Good understanding of TCP/IP stack;
Good understanding Networking (switching, routing);
Network diagnostic tools (tcpdump/wireshark/ngrep);
Experience in telecom VoIP operator (DID ordering, porting, routing).

A big plus, but not required:

Experience with opensource VoIP software (freeswitch, asterisk, kamailio/opensips, 2600Hz Kazoo);
Scripting languages (bash, python);
English — intermediate or higher.

Responsibilities:

Monitoring, troubleshooting, debugging VoIP services;
Communication with suppliers;
Develop operator VoIP solutions;
Collaboration with R&D and Support teams;
Actively participate in daily project team meetings and brainstorming activities related to the project issues;
Provide updates to effort estimates and status of assigned tasks;
Provide recommendations to Team Lead to improve development procedures, systems and tools.
