Description
We're building the next-gen advertising automation platform to help Amazon sellers efficiently manage their advertising at scale to increase profits and reduce costs. We launched our MVP a few months ago. Growth has been quick and we are looking to add another developer to our team to continue scaling.
As a junior frontend developer, you'll be working directly with our engineering team and be responsible for shipping well-scoped features that immediately benefit our customers. You should be familiar with React.
Why Work With Us?
- You'll get to work on challenging technical problems with real-world impact. Our data ingestion pipeline processes billions of data points per day, helping users efficiently manage millions of dollars in ad spend.
- You will be given the space, tools, and resources necessary for you to grow as an engineer. We'd be looking to train you into a soft fullstack developer (Laravel / PHP is our primary backend), if you are interested.
- You'll be heard. As part of a small team, we want to hear your input. See something which will help customers? Great, let's ship it! Noticed a way to restructure a query for better performance? Awesome, let's get it to prod!
- You won't have to deal with bullshit. We are a results oriented company that prides itself on a good developer experience. Work with the latest versions of everything and enjoy the CI / CD pipelines without any micromanaging.
Responsibilities
- Working primarily on tightly scoped features and routine problems
- Investigating bugs, determining the root problem, and deploying fixes
- Progressively tackling larger projects and learning more parts of the system
Requirements
We're looking for someone who strives for excellence and wants to be shipping a great product. Our team has a "builder first" mentality that gets carried throughout every part of the business. We certainly don't understand everything, and we're looking for people with the curiosity and hunger to dive deep and problem solve. Our ideal candidate would meet the following requirements:
- Experience with React
- Comfortable in a small team/fast-moving environment
- Bonus points if you have experience with nextjs, typescript, or tailwindcss
This is a full-time position and is fully remote
How We Operate
We are 100% remote team. We're enjoying the benefits of the flexible working hours. The workflow is quite straightforward because we are 100% GitHub based.
In your application, please include a 60 second or so video introducing yourself and what you like about being a software engineer.
To start, you will be assigned a paid 10-hour coding task. This helps us all to evaluate how well we work together. Then you'll start on a full-time, one-month contract where you will be working on our core product. After the first month, we'll do another one-month contract and then hire you on full-time. We are still at the very early stages. There will be significant room for promotion as we scale our team and platform.
