Lead Backend JavaScript Engineer (offline)

Whom we are looking for?
• 5+ years of experience using Node.js and expertise in Typescript
• 1+ years of team lead experience managing the workflow of an engineering team
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (we use PostgreSQL and MongoDB)
• Experience with creating and managing back end services and APIs
• Understanding of software development life cycle, including CI/CD and testing best practices
• Experience with automated testing frameworks
• Experience in distributed, highly available, and highly scalable RESTful APIs
• Curious, collaborative, humble, and a problem solver

What will you do?
• You will lead a small team of engineers and work closely with the co-founders to deliver powerful product features to users. You will work on challenging projects and make a direct impact on our growth.
• Build innovative backend functionality to help investors research stocks and understand market trends
• Provide technical leadership, code reviews and mentoring to engineers on your team
• Participate in engineering planning and grooming sessions, influencing key steps of the development process like feasibility, planning and execution
• Learn about financial data and find ways to help users solve investment challenges
• Solve technical challenges related to performance, fault-tolerance, security, and scalability
