We're looking for a UX Designer to join the ClassTag team (educational startup from NY)
This person is accountable for our user’s success and satisfaction with interactions on site.
You will work with product management and business leaders to design the delivery of new features as well as improve existing features. You will have access to our users and non-users to perform research as needed to improve your designs.
You will work as a part of product teams, including a product manager, QA and engineers.
You are responsible for helping maintain the design library, cooperatively reviewing the work of the other designers, and constantly identifying areas for improvement.
ClassTag is a fast-paced environment and expects a high degree of output.
In 90 days, you will have produced a number of production-ready designs in Figma, including clickable prototypes as appropriate.
User Interface Design (UI). You have an appreciation for modern product design and can create an attractive User Interface with sufficient speed.
Design Frameworks. You are aware of leading design frameworks and know how to pull from design standards to achieve consistent, clear results.
Incorporating User Research. You will direct and consume user research, helping to identify what research is needed and making decisions based on the results.
Information Architecture. You know how to organize information on a page so that a user can understand what is important and how to achieve their objectives.
User Experience (UX). You consider all aspects of design from the perspective of building a delightful and easy-to-use product.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Agile development methodologies
Design review. You should be able to evaluate design work, give and receive constructive feedback and thoughtfully improve your work with each iteration.
Team orientation and open communication. You are able to work within a team, alternately leading and following depending on the circumstances.
Written communication. You can express design questions and functional annotations clearly in Slack and Trello.
Visual sensibility. You have a natural ability to create and evaluate designs for visual appeal.
Fully remote, coordinating with teams in Ukraine and the US.
4+ years of UX design experience
Experience in designing digital apps and systems.
Experience as part of a cross-functional product team.
Experience designing full-service consumer and business applications
Review portfolio (in advance)
